It’s not even close to Labor Day yet when the real race to the election day wire traditionally begins, but already political mud is being slung through the air by practitioners of both major parties.
This observer certainly doesn’t expect the political game to be played in a polite and positive manner because that has never been the case. Even in Abraham Lincoln’s day, opponents savaged him and contended he was lying about his supposed log cabin origins.
