Both vehicles were totalled in the accident. Both drivers, dlong with five girls under the age of five who were riding with Ms. Sublett. were transported away by rescue squads. Mr. Morrell was charged by Trooper Sumner with failing to yield the right of way.
On August 5, Trooper C.A. Moore charged Charlene Michelle Mobley, 35, of Baltimore, with reckless driving and failure to maintain proper control of her vehicle, after she lost control of her 1994 Pontiac and skidded backwards into the guard rail on U.S. 211 near Route 678 in Amissville.
According to Trooper Moore's report, Ms. Mobley said she had been avoiding an animal in the road. Her car ended up in the median strip after it bounced off the guard rail. The Pontiac sustained SI,500 damage and there was S50 damage to the guard rail.
