Three Students
Honored in Band
RCHS band students Dawn Havstad, Nathan Flinchum and Amanda Brown were named National Award winners by the United States Achievement Academy.
They were nominated by band director Wendy Whitford.
The Academy selects USAA winners upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches and other qualified sponsors. The criteria for selection are a student's academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, citizenship, Attitude and cooperative spirit.
The winners' names will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Official Collegiate Yearbook, which is published nationally.
