Viewtown Day Planned

Viewtown Day grand opening will be held at Viewtown Store on Aug. 19. A yard sale and music by River Bottom will be from 2-5 p.m. A horseshoe tournament will be held at 5:30 p.m. For more information call 937-3249.

Fall Forage Meeting

Attention area beefy forage producers. Please mark your calenders and plan to attend the Rappahannock Fall Forage Meeting scheduled for Sept. 8. Topics for discussion include fall pasture and hay management using poultry litter and considerations for your winter feeding program. Marriage Enrichment Seminar Set

Open Door Baptist Church in Culpeper will be hosting a Marriage Enrichment Seminar on Aug. 18 and 19 at the church. The seminar will be conducted by Dr. Danny and Susan Lovett of Liberty University, Lynchburg.

The seminar will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18 and will continue again from 8:30-12 noon on Saturday, Aug. 19 to be followed by lunch immediately following. There is no cost for attending the seminar (including lunch). Nursery attendants will be available to those who need babysitting for children. Deadline for registration is Aug. 11. Hospice Training Scheduled

Hospice of the Rapidan is recruiting volunteers for training that begins in early September. Hospice training prepares volunteers for vital work with terminally ill people in Rappahannock County and other counties in the PD 9 area. LFCC Class at High School

Editing/Proofreading Skills (OFT107) is the next class in the Office Systems Technology Program (Administrative Assistant Specialization) offer by Lord Fairfax Community College at the Rappahannock County High School. The three credit class will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Aug. 29. The cost of the class is $139.95 ($46.95 per credit) plus an additional charge for textbooks.
