Shooting Matches Set

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will have their shooting matches starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 and continue each Saturday until Nov. 11. Only 12 gauge shotguns with no sleeves will be permitted. For information call 937-3922 or 937-6051.

Hunter Safety Course Planned

A hunter and firearm safety course will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 26 and from 1-6 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Amissville Volunteer Fire Department. Participants must attend both days to complete the 10 hour course. For additional information call 675-3331.

Animal Communication Workshop

“Your Horse (dog, cat, bird, fish) Has Something To Tell You,” and with a little bit of help you can learn to hear him. Dawn Hayman, a well known animal communicator, will teach a workshop at Mountain Run Kennel in Culpeper Aug. 25-27. Lunch will be provided both days. Plan to attend.
