Hackley returned to the mound tor the Monarchs and surrendered a run in the eighth to make the score 10-7 Edinburg. Hackley stayed on the hill for the remainder of the game, eventually earned the victory and posted some impressive numbers for his first pitching appearance as a Monarch.
In the Monarch half of the eighth, Vincent Aylor led off with a screaming line drive into the woods in right center for a homerun.
