She also checks them to see that all are in good shape, and to see if any need new shoes. At noon some of them get hay, and water is again filled. Ms. Poore rides some of them, though if it is too hot, she rides them in the evening. During the day lessons are given also.
Nearly all the horses and ponies are turned out into the pasture at 5 or 6 p.m., depending on how buggy or hot it is. She then cleans the stalls, and checks to make sure there is plenty of water outside too.
