Ruth Keyser
Mrs. Ruth Jacobsen Keyser of Washington died Aug. 9.
She was born Oct. 3, 1905, in Somesville, Maine, the daughter of Albert O. and Eva Hamor Jacobsen.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Henry Magruder Keyser and a son, William Albert Keyser.
Mr. and Mrs. Keyser resided for many years in Williamsburg prior to returning to Mr. Keyser native county of Rappahannock in 1962. He was superintendent of buildings and grounds at the College of William and Mary. * Mrs. Keyser was active in the American Red Cross Gray Ladies program at Eastern State Hospital. She was formerly associated with the Rappahannock News and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Bruton Parish in Williamsburg.
Survivors include a son, Henry Magruder Keyser, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Clifton; three grandsons, Henry Magruder Keyser III of Washington, Joseph Frank Keyser of Ft. Collins, Co. and Frank Matthew Keyser of Clifton; one nephew and two nieces. ; Graveside services were held at Washington Masonic Cemetery on Monday, Aug. 14. Rev. Jennings Hobson officiated.
