To the Editor:

For over one hundred years the youth of Rappahannock County had to emigrate to other parts of the country to find employment. This humiliating condition persists to this day. However, a new dawn may be breaking. The thoughtful initiative of the Cliff Miller Sr. clan, in association with Mr. McNear, is good news for Rappahannock families!

Creating employment and opportunities without demeaning the county and the environment is, indeed, great news!

In addition to the practical side of housing, shopping opportunities and employment this project, if in fact implemented, will reveal the beauty of Sperryville’s mountain vistas and the two romantic branches of the Thornton river to visitors and county residents who never before had the time to pause and “smell the roses.”

God’s speed to the Millers and Mr. McNear!
