Offensively, the Monarchs shellacked six Edinburg pitchers. The Monarchs got two runs in the second, third and fifth innings and led 6-5 after six. They scored an insurance run in seventh, before erupting for five in the eighth. The Monarchs were led by Vincent Aylor (three walks, a double, three runs), Reggie Williams (three hits, three runs), Parker (two doubles, two runs, four RBI’s), Hackley (two doubles), Alexander (two hits) and Frye (two doubles).

The Monarchs hope to wrap up the best of five series at 2 p.m. this Saturday in Edinburg. If necessary, the final game of the series will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at RCHS.
