(Jn the evening ot June H, the day of the flood, a young couple in a very small sports car, with D.C. tags, was trylffg to get to Graves Mountain Lodge. Okay, so maybe they hadn’t heard about the flooding yet, but here they were on the road in front of our property, which had two feet of water running right down the middle of it! They were going to just leave their vehicle right there in the middle of the road and “walk” to the lodge, because they had reservations!
First of all, common sense should have told them that if there is„*'two foot deep wall of water running down the middle of the road, and'tiiey could see that part of the road was missing, something was greatly wrong out here! We could not even get out to the road to talk to them, due to the fact that about 20 feet of the bridge into our property on each side was washed out.
