At their Monday meeting, region B officials rejected both these proposals and instead came up with the proposal that puts RCHS in the fourschool district.
RCHS Principal Jack Raines was not very happy with either proposal, but is equally unhappy with the new four-school district. Furthermore he said he does not believe the VHSL will accept this recommendation from Region B once they realize that the new Bull Run District will have only three schools fielding football teams since RCHS does not, and a school could advance to regional competition with just two wins.
Under any of these plans scheduling will be more difficult, Mr. Raines said, since a full schedule will require more games to be played with schools outside the district.
