held at 4 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. This remembrance celebration includes speakers, stories and reflections of the life of Paul Nichols.
"He had an incredible gift with children. Even in the most adverse situations he was able to get right to the child and communicate with them," said David Gangel, superintendent of Rappahannock County Public Schools.
He said Mr. Nichols will be remembered for his "common sense dealing with issues." Dr. Gangel said no matter how intricate the issues, Mr. Nichols was always able to use his own values and judgment for a fair and practical approach.
Paul Nichols was as familiar in the community as the sun, without pretension or airs.
