After coming off four straight wins the Wakefield Country Day School girls' volleyball team came up against the toughest opponent of the season in Fredericksburg Christian School and lost. 15-4, 15-4, and 15-6.
Earlier in the season WCDS evened its record to 3 and 3 with a victory over Wakefield School, The Plains.
It was the third victory in a row after WCDS opened with three losses.
Following that win WCDS defeated Notre Dame 15-8, 15-10, 16-18, 10-15, and 15-4 to stretch its consecutive wins to four.
WCDS enters the Delaney Conference Tournament this week with a 4 and 4 record in the regular season.
