Mix thoroughly and form into 3/4-inch-thick patties. In a large, heavy skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Cook the patties in the butter until the sausages are brown on both sides and the centers are no longer pink (10 to 12 minutes total). Yield: 6 servings
