"I learned to be patient and respect everyone else," Lauren Sharp added.
These skills were taught through lectures, games, role plays and videos. Each mediator had their favorite part though.
"I liked the M&M's!" exclaimed mediator Kent Switzer.
The M&Ms were used as part of a game which showed mediators how much better things go when you work together instead of against one another.
The group's problem solving skills were not the only things affected by the class.
"I think it affected me for the simple fact that I'm willing to work with people I don't know and make the best of it," commented mediator Monica Jett.
Beginning next week the school administration will be calling on these newly trained peer mediators to tackle disputes between RCHS students.
