Academy of Music in London and Oxford University. In review of one of her concerts, Joseph McLellan wrote in The Washington Post, "Her style happily combines vocal agility, keen intelligence, and impressive respect for the words she sings and a gift for eloqqent facial expressions."
Accompanying Ms. Balestrieri on the piano, and perhaps being tempted to sing also, is R. Benjamin Dobey. He is keyboards artist for the Washington Bach Consort. He studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Eastman School of Music, and acknowledges that he also "spent two years in hiding as a choral scholar at Wells Cathedral, England."
