And the results of the liberal philosophy of government put into law principally, though not solely, by Democrats? Since 1960,
1. Violent crime is up 550 percent
2. Illegitimacy up 400 percent
3. Divorce rate up 100 percent
4. Children in poverty up 40 percent
There you see the results of "compassionate liberalism" in action. These are major, major changes. No wonder President Clinton says little about past Democratic accomplishments. No wonder he talks constantly about some sort of "bridge to the 21st century!"
