Poverty for 30 years, costing $5 trillion, without success, would you brag?
If your policies on welfare, divorce, abortion and individual responsibility produced an accelerating decline of the family in America, with children hurt the most, would you brag?
I do not want to suggest that Democrats have knowingly led us so badly astray. Most are as good, as concerned for American's future, as anyone.
But when a guide, ignoring signposts left by earlier travelers, insists on leading you toward a cliff, you'd better find another.
Now to the issue of character. None is perfect, but here too the difference is clear.
Consider a few items that bear on President Clinton's character:
