Chuckwagon Apple Cake 3 large cooking apples 2 teaspoons cinnamon 5 teaspoons plus 2 cups sugar, divided 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/4 cup pineapple or apple juice 1 cup vegetable oil 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 4 eggs. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pare, core, and slice the apples. Mix the cinnamon and the 5 teaspoons of sugar in a small bowl and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the 2 cups sugar, the flour, baking powder, pineapple juice, vegetable oil, vanilla, and eggs. Mix just to incorporate. Grease and flour a bundt pan. Pour half the batter into the pan. Top with 1/2 the apples and 1/2 the cinnamonsugar mixture. Add the remaining batter and top with the remaining apples and cinnamon mixture. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes clean. Yield: 10 to 12 servings Green Onion and Apple Sausage 11/2 pounds ground pork
