The clothed skeleton was found in a wooded area and no personal belongings, jewelry, weapons or camping gear were found, said Ms. Rothgeb. She added, "There are no persons known to be missing in the park." A nationwide search of missing persons is being started, and they may be able to match a missing persons report with the skeleton through dental records.
The skeleton was found 10 miles south of Front Royal, and about one mile west of Skyline Drive, near mile marker 13.
