Besides providing insurance for its membership the organization lobbies for state and federal laws favorable to the faming industry. Mr. Vest said when he started in the business he had about 100 customers in Rappahannock County, but it has grown to nearly 800 clients now.
"It's been a good living, and I've enjoyed it. I met a lot of people, and I want to thank all my clients who have been with me all these years,” he said.
Mrs. Whorton added, "People should rest assured they will continue to have the same level of service."
