to Trooper Moore, Mr. Houser was driving a 1978 Toyota pickup when he ran off the road and struck an embankment. The truck suffered about $200 damage.
Bud Corder, 55, of Washington, was charged on Jan. 27 by his wife for assaulting her. Virginia Corder said that her husband had struck her twice and tried to choke her, according to Major Rick MacWelch of the Sheriffs Office.
Last Thursday, Debbie Settle of Sperryville reported that there had been a prowler at her house about 4:45 a.m., trying to open her back door.
