Coach Heidi Maeyer said she was very pleased with the way her girls played in that match although "it was a heartbreaker." She said her squad had played flawlessly in the second game to get that win. In the third game Brentsville enjoyed a 14-9 lead, but the Panthers fought back to a 14-14 tie before losing 16-14.
"I felt better about the way they played even though we lost," Coach Maeyer said. "They played up to their potential."
A day earlier they defeated George Mason 15-10, 15-9. Coach Maeyer said Lauren Sharp won 10 straight points serving underhanded in the second game. In the first game Rebekah Letsen had four points, and Janice Wilson and Alice Gentry had five each.
There Was nothing to worry about in Monday night’s domination of Manassas Park 15-2, 15-4'.
The teams will face George Mason at home Thursday and Brentsville at home next Monday.
