The community was saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Mary Botts Miller Quaintance Snead at Overlook Nursing Home on Sunday, Feb. 2. Mrs. ■ Snead was 90 years old.
Mrs. Snead was a graduate of Harrisonburg State Teachers College. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Snead was a teacher for 48 years, the last 22 as principal of Rappahannock Elemen-tary School. Mrs. Snead was the Rappahannock News Citizen of the Year in 1979.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Trinity Episcopal Church with interment in the Woodville Cemetery.
