RAAC will present “Mrs. Brown” at The Theatre on Gay Street on Friday, April 17. at 8 p.m. This British movie, about a controversial relationship between Queen Victoria and her Scottish horseman, is a delicate, often hilarious triumph.
When her beloved husband, Prince Albert, dies in 1861, Queen Victoria (Judi Dench) plunges into virtually intractable despair. Instructing her closest servants to respect and, indeed, imitate her grief, she ignores affairs of state so she can concentrate fully on her gloom.
