Rappahannock News Staff Writer
Last Wednesday night, the Rappahannock High School varsity baseball team played Stonewall in an away game.
The offense started the game with a lead off triple by Jason Baldwin and put three runs on the board in the first inning.
Defensively, Ervin Phillips had a good night, pitchingseven strike outs in four innings. Despite the effort, Rappahannock lost the game 13-3.
Monday night, April 6, the scene was very different as the varsity team played Luray at home and won. Bat Boy Ben Hackney commented on the 98 finish, “It was a spectacular win!”.
