Band Boosters to meet
The Rappahannock County Band Boosters will meet in the Rappahannock County High School Library on April 16 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Organizational meeting slated
An organizational meeting will be held April 9 from 7 to 8 p.m. for persons involved in Small & Home Based Businesses to explore the possibility of creating a group interested in empowering each other to succeed, sharing ideas, use as a sounding board, share leads, etc. Call Ellen at 987-8248 for more information.
Workshop for girls
Girls aged 10-15 are invited to an unique workshop, Girls Speak Out - Finding Our True Selves. There will be a variety of activities (art forms, storytelling and more) to explore and learn what is wonderful and challenging about being a young woman today. This is a two day workshop set for Saturday, April 25 and May 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Stephens City. Cost is sliding scale, $8 to $18. For more details call Ellen Neill-Dore at 675-1461. Playgroup to meet
The Mother’s Coop and children’s playgroup will meet at the Rappahannock Park on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. All are welcome. For more information call Brenda VanNess at 987-9527.
Poetry Circus at Ki Theatre
On Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Ki Theatre, the Poetry Circus will feature poets and poetry lovers of all ages sharing the art of poetry in a delightful mile-a-minute, roller coaster ride of language, music and visuals. Easter egg hunt planned
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor their annual Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. on April 11. Age groups are four years and under', four to eight years and nine to 12. Prizes and candy will be given away.
Book Fair to open
Rappahannock County Elementary School Library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair on Tuesday, April 14 through Monday, April 20. The fair will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. during school days, and special evening hours are planned for Thursday, April 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Call 987-8259 for more information.
