Happy Easter! May this be the dawn of a new beginning for all of us.
Amissville United Methodist Church will celebrate Maundy Thursday on Thursday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. There will be communion, readings, stripping of the sanctuary, and the draping of the cross. Nursery is provided through five years of age.
On Friday, April 10 eggs will be colored from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Amissville United Methodist Church by all children wishing to participate. Their annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. Children should bring a basket or container to put in the eggs they find. A small program will be held in the sanctuary while the eggs are hidden. Everyone is welcome.
Easter morning, there will be a Sunrise Service on the lawn at the Amissville United Methodist Church Methodist Church starting at 6:25 a.m. The service will be followed by a breakfast prepared by the United Methodist men in the Social Hall.
