Easter Sunrise Service for Amissville Baptist Church will be held on Red Oak Mountain on Sunday, April 12 at 6 a.m. The church van will leave the church at 5:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome. After the Sunrise Service, there will be an Easter Sunday Breakfast at the church beginning at 8 a.m. Morning worship will be held at 11 a.m.; however, evening service is canceled.
The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company is celebrating its 45th year of service to our community. In 1997, they responded to 572 calls. As we all know, equipment wears out and becomes obsolete and must be replaced. Donations are the backbone of every nonprofit organization and our fire and rescue company is no exception. An ambulance that was purchased in 1983 is no longer reliable as it once was. Fund raising efforts to replace it and other equipment is now underway. Please mail your dona
