In Tuesday’s Town of Washington Council election J. Stewart Willis was reelected Mayor of the town with 73 votes. Former councilman Ray Gooch received 15 write in votes for the office and Harry Smoot received two write in votes for that office.
Elaine Viguerie defeated incumbent Louise Van Dort with 53 votes to Van Dort’s 44.
