festival promises
music, family fun
Visitors of the 1998 Virginia Wine and Mushroom Festival may sample offerings from 14 Virginia wineries and one cidery, as well as learn about mushrooms and enjoy an evening of live jazz under the stars.
The 12th annual festival, sponsored by the Front RoyalWarren County Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Main and Chester streets in down town Front Royal’s historic district. Festival-goers are asked not to bring pets to the event.
The festival will also feature shiitake and other mushrooms, hand-crafted treasures, a variety of food, children’s activities and musical entertainment all day long.
