May temperatures according to the Hagerstown Town and Country Almanack are expected to be above average accompanied by precipitation that will be below average.
Weather watch: we welcome May with the 6-10 fair, very warm, but showers follow 11-12. Again, it’s fair, warm 13-15 and more showers, storms 16,17. Anticipate fair, warm days 18,19, with rain and mild days 20,21. Next, it should be fair, very warm 2224, but showers, storms, hot 25-28, with month ending fair, hot 29-31.
Tornado watch: We could be in conditions of this nature 16,17. Let’s hope, though, the effects of El Nino of this past winter are well behind us.
Full moon: Known as the pink or flower moon it occurs at 10:29 on the 11th, E.D.T. All those April showers should bring May flowers.
