Grand opening announced

The old Sperryville School House has been remodeled, redesigned and redecorated to make it a fantastic store as well as a catalog outlet. On May 23 and 24, Memorial Day Weekend, The Faith Mountain Company will celebrate not only the grand opening of its new store but also the 21st anniversary of The Faith Mountain Company. Everyone is invited to the festivities. The weekend will include live entertainment, craft demonstrations, unusual flowers and plants, food, great sales and of course ftin for the whole family.

Antique shows scheduled

Heritage Promotions is pleased to announce two antique shows, May 8-10 at Fishersville and May 22-23 at Manassas. For information or booth reservations call 804-846-7452.

Healing Arts activities

The Rappahannock Healing Arts has scheduled the following activities:

May 13: Herb clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Solution Focused Counseling from 5 to 9 p.m.

May 14: Yoga at 9:30 a.m. and Therapeutic Massage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

May 15: Health Options Counseling from 1 to 5 p.m. and Nutritional Counseling from 4 to 8 p.m.

May 17: Joyful Sounds Choir from 6 to 7 p.m. All are welcome.

May 18: Nutritional Counseling from 1 to 4 p.m. and Yoga at 5 p.m.

May 19: Tape series on relationships from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and Herb Workshop, The Circulatory System from 7 to 9 p.m. For information on these or other activities call the center at 987-7204.

Open house at Winery

Memorial Day open house will be held at the Oasis Winery on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This annual mega event will feature hot air balloon rides, complimentary hor d’oeuvres, wine tastings, winery torus and several live bands on stage. For information call 1-800-304-7656.

4-H Dog Show scheduled

There will be a 4-H Dog Show for enrolled 4-H members at The Child Care and Learning Center pavilion on U S. 211 west of the town of Washington on Saturday, May 16 from 2 until 3:30 p.m. 4-H members must present the rabies vaccination upon arrival and dogs must be on a leash with a collar. Lisa Reid will conduct a workshop and after that there will be an informal dog show. 4-H members will receive participation ribbons. Call 675-3619 for additional information.

Benefit yard, hake sale set
