The Singing and Pickin had their beginning in one of the Sunday School rooms of New Salem Baptist Church but moved to the fire hall to accommodate more spectators.
Miss Zinn has been performing for the past 21 years at Skyland Lodge on Skyline Drive; Butler has performed there for 15 years. Even though it is a while off, you might want to mark your calendar and attend the) next party scheduled for June 26.
Quite a number of people from our area of Boston and surrounding areas attended there on Friday evening. Last, but not least the fire department has for sale, plate lunches, drinks, desserts, etc.
Congratulations to Mrs. Janet McDonnell of Griffinsburg way, a fourth grade teacher at A.G. Richardson Elementary School in Culpeper who was the most recent “Teacher Feature” selection.
