also won “Best in World” decorative miniatures for a carving of three King Penguins. “Best in World” is an honor only a few carvers in the world have achieved. Jeff’s piece of work is now a permanent member of the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury.
Congratulations, Jeff, on realizing your talent and gaining the respect of your peers. Your family, friends, and community are very proud of you!
The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Carnival will be held June 24-27 with the parade scheduled for Thursday, June 25. One of the special events is the crowning of the Queen, Princess, and Little Princess. Winning is based upon the number of tickets each young lady sells for the cash drawings held on the last night of the carnival. The age groups are: Queen contestants ages 14-20; Princess contestants ages 813; and, Little Princess ages 37. For tickets or more information please contact Sandi Carter at 937-4218.
