Medicine man offers teachings

This is a rare opportunity to listen to Anton Ponce de Leon talk to our community about Andean cosmology and Incan Sacred teachings. A $20 donation is requested to help support the center where he and his wife raise the 28 children they adopted from the streets of Lima, Peru. The lecture runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville on Friday, May 8. For more information call 987-7204.

Adventure camp days set

TASC for Teens of Jeffersonton is organizing and leading two 2-week Canadian Wilderness Adventure Summer Camps for students ages 10-17; a Canadian Canoe Expedition on July 11-24, and a Canadian Lakeside Fishing Camp on Aug. 1-14. The trips will leave from Jeffersonton and include transportation, qualified and caring staff, meals, most camping equipment and activities. Siuing into Spring

Friday, May 22: “Blue Ridge to the Bay” speaker series at Rappahannock Library, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m, local Arborist and Forester Lyt Wood will discuss “Clear Cutting, Selective Cutting, No Cutting - Landowner Options”.

The Trash Free Rappahannock potluck picnic in the Park, May 25 from 4 p.m. until dark.
