Following a three-hour public hearing at the high school, the board of supervisors voted in favor, 4-1, to approve the resolution “authorizing the issuance, sale and award of not to exceed $3,000,000 general obligation school bonds.”
Of the approximately 150 people in attendance, about 90 percent were clearly in favor of the resolution. The meeting had convened at the courthouse as scheduled but had to be recessed and re-convened at the high school to accommodate the large crowd.
