National 4-H Week
The Rappahannock County 4-H program is ready for another exciting year. To make the 4-H program even better, the search is on for a new adult volunteer leaders. We have many children that could join 4-H if we had more project and community clubs to offer them. The only way to accomplish this is having more adult volunteer leaders.
Some new project areas and 4-H activities that we could offer in Rappahannock County are poultry judging, intrastate exchange program, babysitting, sewing, forestry, fishing, wildlife, woodworking, and aerospace. Four-H offers the program and support materials for these project areas. If anyone is interested in becoming involved in 4-H, call the Extension office at 675-3619.
Four-H clubs usually meet once a month. The current 4-H clubs are:
• 4-H Cooking and Crafts Club, meets after school
• 4-H Small Animals Club, usually meets on Saturdays
•4-H Performing Arts
