against Page County last week both junior varsity and varsity teams were defeated.
At the end of the varsity’s first quarter the score was close 4-5 in Page’s favor. Rappahannock managed to pull ahead and competed well and for much of the game there was only one point difference. In the end Page was victorious, winning 47-36.
Sonya Wigington was the high scorer with 16 points.
The JV began with a single goal in the first quarter, 13-2 and by halftime the score was 28-8 Page. It ended 50-13 in Page’s favor.
Jessica Nawrocki led the team with six points followed by Amber Welch who had four.
