In late August, Regional Adult Education and Culpeper Literacy Council hosted the GED graduation at George Washington Carver-Piedmont Technical Education Center in Culpeper.
Culpeper, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties were all represented by graduates receiving their GED’s for the 1997-98 school year.

Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, recognized Rose Ann Sharp for her outstanding service to that board. She has served for eight years on the board. He reported on the new personnel — Darcy Canton at the nutritional program and Kimberly Finn, manager of Family Guidance Services. He also said that beginning next year the county will be able to review the RRCSB performance contract with the state and may act on it if they so desire.
