PUBLIC HEARING:

AMENDMENTS TO THE ZONING CHAPTER

OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE

The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County shall hold a public hearing on the following proposed amendment to the Rappahannock County Code on Monday, November 2, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA.

The Zoning Chapter Amendment is as follows:

Add to §170-70 B. a new provision to read as follows:

(27) A thrift, used goods & clothing, or similar retail store, when conducted & maintained on property owned by a volunteer fire & rescue organization recognized by the County of Rappahannock, conditioned on such uses being owned or operated by a volunteer fire & rescue company or a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local fire & rescue organizations.

The Rappahannock County Planning Commission shall consider this proposed amendment at a public hearing to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21,1998 at the Courthouse In Washington, VA.
