On Sept. 16, eight members of the Town of Washington ' Wastewater Study Committee took a fourhour trip to Watoga State Park along the Greenbrier River in West Virginia where they visited a wastewater facility. It was a system recommended in a feasibility study by Resource International, and the general consensus was that this was a good choice for Washington.
Committee members Charlie Tbmpkins and Stew Willis both said they were impressed with the system’s simplicity and lack of odor. Willis said the mtgor attraction to him was that if the town can find the space, one acre would accommodate the above ground system. If screened by trees, no one would know it was even there, he added.
