1 he board approved a resolution in lieu of bond for a transfer of right-of-way from the county to VDoT in order that VDoT may construct the entrance and road into the county convenience center which will be located near the VDoT site off U.S. 211. It was reported that the facility should be opening in the spring.
• A revised resolution for the addition of Four Springs Lane to the Six Year Road Plan was approved with the restriction that the property belonging to the Batchelders will have no more benefit to subdivide their land than before the road was brought into the system. That limits the parcels they could create to seven, which is what it was before and which they agreed to.
• An amendment to the county code regarding accessory uses for fire and rescue companies was approved. It will allow thrift, used clothing and goods, or similar retail stores to be conducted and maintained on property owned by volunteer fire and rescue companies or non-profit orgaxuzation dedicated to supporting those organizations.
