The Watoga park system was developed by Ashco-ACorporation and was advertised as using technology to make a cleaner environment. The system involves pre-cast concrete septic tanks, pump systems, gravity and pressure sewer lines, recirculating sand filters and since the discharge is sent into a trout stream, disinfection by chlorine and ultraviolet. The system does require an operator to oversee the recirculating sand filters.
