Schools that will be successful under the new standards must acknowledge their new vision of higher standards and high levels of success for all students. Higher level mathematics and science classes are now expected and provided for all students, not just college-bound students. For example, all students must successfully complete algebra, geometry and additional mathematics and science classes. High level academic performance is not just a goal; it is a requirement for students, teachers, and administrators. It will require a massive change in instruction and program.
