Dance scheduled at Amissville

A dance will be held at the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue building on Saturday, Oct. 24 with music by River Bottom. This will be a smoke free dance and proper dress is required which means no shorts, no jeans with holes and shirts must have collars.

Republican Rally set

An old-fashioned Republican Rally and dinner featuring Congressman Frank Wolf will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. at Washington Volunteer Fire Department. For people who don’t want dinner, the rally program will begin around 3:45 p.m. All events other than the dinner are free. For information call Walter Longyear at 675-3679.

Beekeepers to meet

The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its October meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building at the corner of Davis Street and South West Street in Culpeper. From 6:45 until 7:30 p.m. there will be a Beginning Beekeeper Session. The regular program will be: preparations for winter. For information contact Kevin Lusford at 439-0743.

First Thursday open forum on RCES

Come and bring a friend to the next meeting of the First Thursday Education Support Group on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. Rappahannock elementary teachers and administrators will present and discuss the latest changes and challenges at the school.
