On Dec. 19, at 1:00.p.m., Matthew D. Wayland lost control of his ‘99 Infinity on Route 522. Wayland was proceeding south towards Huntly. Deputy Anthony Berry was working radar and detected the vehicle’s speed as 90 mph. Before Berry had a chance to pursue the vehicle, Wayland ran off the road to his right, skidded across the road to the left, struck an enbankment, skidded back to the right, hit an embankment and overturned. The,, driver was not injured.
Wayland was arrested by Trooper Sean Knick and charged with two counts of reckless driving in conjunction with the speeding and in conjunction with the wreck.
