Community candlelight services
The public is invited to the annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24 at Washington Baptist Church.
A Christmas Eve service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church with Holy Eucharist at 5 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. on Dec. 24. A Christmas Day service will be held on Dec. 25 at 10 a.m. All are welcome.
Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill will celebrate with a Christmas Eve service on Friday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Howard Frye of Nazareth Baptist Church at Boston. All are invited.
Celebration at Belle Meade
The annual Winter’s Solstice Celebration will occur at Belle Meade Bed and Breakfast on Wednesday, Dec. 22 starting at 5 p.m. Please bring food or drink to share. The celebration will occur indoors and outdoors with a bonfire. Belle Meade is located at 353 F.T. Valley Road south of Sperryville, 987-9748.
Democrats to meet Jan. 4
The first meeting of the newly reorganized Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will be held Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. The agenda items will include discussion of the proposed changes to the bylaws, and the election of magisterial captains.
