Playgroup meets at Trinity

Shooting match at Castleton
The Castleton Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a shooting match every Friday night at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the department. Local residents are encouraged to support this endeavor.

Montpelier to be featured
Holiday decorations at James Madison's Montpelier will be highlighted this week in an episode of Home & Garden Television’s “Christmas Castles” program. “Christmas Castles” is a series of six specials “celebrating the pageantry and spirit of the holiday at American’s finest old mansions and estates."
The “Christmas Castles” segment featuring Montpelier will be broadcast on HGTV on Thursday, Dec. 23 at 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The Montpelier segment will be re-broadcast on Christmas Day at 8:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. and again on Dec. 26 at 1 a.m.

Karate classes to begin
Shorin-Ryu Okinawan karate classes will begin Jan. 5 at Ki Theatre in Washington.
